Mezzanine
Mezzanine helps to maximize space by creating a partial floor of a building between two actual floors. Its semi-permanent structures which are mainly free-standing are flexible to design as it is dependent on the space available. It is easy to install and to dismantle when needed thus minimizing disruption to daily activities. It reduces the duration needed to undergo construction. Mezzanine maximize the vertical space that is available and untouched hence it is also the more economical approach as compare to the traditional expansion or purchasing of a bigger building. Development of Mezzanine Over the years, mezzanine flooring can be constructed based on wood, providing more potential for different usage of mezzanine. Mezzanine was first constructed at the lowest part of the balcony in a theater. The most common usage of mezzanine today is industrialized mezzanine. It is often building in warehouse and factories to increase space for storage of tools or products.
